Give extra opportunities to young scientists carrying out Antarctic research.

The Antarctic Research Centre Endowed Development Fund provides grants to postgraduate students with links to Antarctica to take up opportunities that would not otherwise have been possible. These include conducting field work in Antarctica, attending international conferences and workshops, and preparing their research for publication.

The Fund also supports the launch of new research programmes that support the Centre’s world-leading research on how the Antarctic is responding to climate change and its consequences, both globally and for Aotearoa New Zealand.
