Governance
The Foundation is governed by an independent Board of Trustees.
The Board is responsible for ensuring all donated funds are correctly managed, invested, and disbursed in accordance with the purpose and terms set out in the trust deed and in accordance with donors' wishes. The Board is supported in its oversight role by a Finance, Risk and Investment Committee.
On a day-to-day basis, the University’s Development and Alumni Relations Office ensures that donors’ objectives and expectations are met through auditing annual accounts and monitoring the formal agreements signed with donors and sponsors to ensure all terms are met.
The Development and Alumni Relations Office works with donors to create impactful gifts that honour donors’ aspirations and support the shared mission and priorities of the University. The Foundation's Gift Acceptance Policy outlines this process in detail.
Each year, the Development and Alumni Relations Office and the Foundation produce an Annual Report of all Foundation activity.
