Refining mRNA production to generate liver immunity
The problem
The manufacturing and purification methods used to produce mRNA can significantly impact their ability to induce liver-resident memory T cells (Trm), which are crucial for effective immune responses.
Our goals
We are developing scalable methods to purify mRNA and are working to identify the factors that induce Trm cells, with the goal of creating highly pure mRNA products.
The impact
Our project aims to establish best practices for mRNA purification and analytical protocols, which could lead to more effective and targeted immune responses, advancing vaccine technology and manufacturing methodologies for liver diseases like malaria, hepatitis, and liver cancer.
This project is funded by RNA Platform Fast Start.
