Before arriving on site
Before commencing any work, it is essential to complete the onboarding process and ensure awareness of potential risks across the University.

Hours of work
- General University hours of operation—8.30 am to 5.30 pm from Monday to Friday.
- Libraries—8.30 am–midnight on weekdays and 10 am to 10 pm on weekends.
- After-hours functions—The University facilities are used for functions and events afterhours at various times.
- Business hours for trades work—8 am to 5 pm from Monday to Friday.
- Accommodation (shared spaces)—9 am to 5 pm.
- Accommodation (when completing work in bedrooms)—10 am to 5 pm.
Arranging after-hours work
If you need to work after hours on an assigned maintenance request to minimize disruption to occupants, coordinate with the facilities manager at least 48 hours in advance. This does not apply to emergency repairs—you should always keep the facilities manager informed of progress, including any after-hours work.
