Presented by the New Zealand India Research Institute and the Asia New Zealand Foundation.

Mr Kant discussed India’s “Act East” approach, in the context of the rise of India and its importance in the Asia–Pacific region. He reflected on India’s strategic and economic relations with key regional players, notably China and the United States.
Mr Kant also assessed opportunities for New Zealand with India and how he sees the New Zealand relationship with India developing in the near future. For an audience interested in India, this was a fascinating strategic take from a key influencer in India.
