Develop your understanding of music’s meanings

Learn to speak and write effectively about musical styles and cultures. This subject explores the ways musical meanings are formed through performance, listening, and thinking about music.

Your study examines how gender, race, nationalism, and other factors shape musical practices and repertoires.

Engage in deeper discussions with your peers and lecturers. Refine your analytical, historical, and critical approaches to the study of music, and better understand your own musical values.

Opening in 2027, the National Music Centre will be a vibrant and innovative hub celebrating music, creativity, and connection in the heart of our city.
