Study a subject that combines mātauranga Māori and indigenous design with contemporary building science. Learn how to foster sustainable and culturally responsive solutions in architecture, interior design, and landscape design.

In Māori Design and Environments, you'll explore critical urbanism along with the built and natural environments of Aotearoa New Zealand.

You’ll work with key concepts in mātauranga Māori based in both practice and theory. You’ll develop key conceptual design skills that incorporate an understanding of kaupapa Māori through the use of novel multimedia exploration and craft.
