Launch your international business career

New Zealand’s economy relies heavily on international trade and partnerships, which makes International Business knowledge essential in today’s world.

In this subject, you’ll learn how organisations operate across borders and how economic, political, social, and cultural systems differ from country to country. You’ll broaden your perspectives and develop critical thinking, analytical, cross-cultural, and strategic skills.

These skills open up career opportunities in New Zealand and around the world, and will help you adapt as the business world changes.

Why Wellington

Wellington, New Zealand’s capital, is home to the government agencies, financial institutions, and companies that shape the country’s international business and trade, particularly in the Asia-Pacific.

The School of Marketing and International Business links with many of these organisations, putting you in touch with decision-makers and giving you insights into international trade dynamics that will enrich your career.
