Understand our globalised world in depth
Postgraduate Global Studies helps you understand and shape our interconnected world. You’ll learn theoretical frameworks to interpret global events and practical skills for your career.
Postgraduate Global Studies draws on disciplines like international politics, global economics, international law, and peace and conflict studies. These multiple perspectives help you engage with contemporary global issues like human rights and environmental sustainability.
Our postgraduate Global Studies qualifications suit graduates from a wide range of backgrounds. Choose between the comprehensive Master’s degree, or the shorter Postgraduate Diploma or Certificate, to prepare for careers in foreign affairs, international business, policy, and media.
Choose your study path
We offer three qualifications in Postgraduate Global Studies. These qualifications are ‘staircased’—they allow movement in both directions.
If you begin by enrolling in the Certificate or Diploma programme, you may be able to continue on to complete a Master's degree. Or if you enrol in the Master's but can't complete it for some reason, you may have completed enough courses to graduate with the Certificate or Diploma.
Postgraduate Certificate in Global Studies
A short, one trimester 60-point certificate that boosts your interdisciplinary knowledge and skills.
Postgraduate Diploma in Global Studies
A 120-point diploma that enhances your skills over two trimesters of intensive full-time study.
Master of Global Studies
A 180-point Master’s degree that deepens your interdisciplinary knowledge and prepares you for global leadership or further study at doctorate level. Choose from four study pathways according to your interests and goals, and complete the degree within 12 to 18 months.
