Learn to inspire environmental change
Environmental Education inspires change—it helps people work together to build a more sustainable future.
Education for the environment occurs in education settings and community contexts.
You will analyse and creatively engage with education for sustainability, kaitiakitanga, and climate education frameworks.
Choose your study path
Education for the Environment (EDEN) is a major in either the:
- Bachelor of Arts (BA)
- Bachelor of Environment and Society (BEnvSoc).
You can EDEN along with other subjects as a double major. There are some restrictions--for example, you cannot take EDEN as a double major with Education, or with Educational Psychology majors. Check with your student adviser.
Education for the Environment can also be taken as a minor in the Bachelor of Arts.
A BA lets you customise your degree with majors and minors to match your interests and goals.
Through a BEnvSoc, your study will focus on exploring key concepts like sustainability and justice.
You can also choose a conjoint BA and BEnvSoc degree.
